ORIFICE PLATE FLOWMETER
Orifice plate is used to measure flow in piping systems. The orifice plate inside the orifice flow meter causes a pressure drop. Based on the magnitude of the pressure drop, the flow can be estimated. This measurement method can be used very practically in dirty fluids and large diameters where turbine flow meters are not used.
